Stratstone Land Rover - My Experience..........

My dream car turned out to be an expensive nightmare.

I purchased a Supercharged Range Rover Sport from Stratstone Land Rover, and I feel utterly conned.

I had previously bought two vehicles from the same Stratstone LandRover dealership without any major problems. I asked for the same deal as arranged previously from the same sales staff - namely 3 year lease with a guaranteed future value (GFV). This means no risk at the end of the 3 year term.

One year later the finance company have now told me it is a 4 year lease deal with a massive balloon payment due at the end of the term. The balloon payment is huge - what an absolute con!

Obviously the onus is on me to check the small print - I do however feel that if you deal with the same established Land Rover dealership for 5 years, and then ask "Can I have another 3 year deal with a GFV?" and they say "Yes.... sign here" that you can trust that they are not lying to you.

I have contacted Stratstone Land Rover about this and they are completely uninterested. It seems customer service is not in the Stratstone dictionary. I have sent numerous emails and they simply ignore them, they dont even reply!?!

If you are interested in buying a Land Rover my advice is to avoid a company who will con you to reach sales targets - then treat you like the plague!
